What will I learn at this training?
As an attendee of this training, you will gain the tools necessary to transition into public service with confidence, learn the key aspects of being a successful part of a governing body, acquire knowledge about the fundamental issues, and connect with other elected officials around the state. Attending this conference also fulfills your first requirement towards becoming a Certified Public Official. You will also meet the staff and hear more about the resources available through the Association of Counties.
How much does it cost to attend?
The event is free but you will want to request reimbursement from your county to offset travel and lodging costs.

What if I don’t want to be a WSAC Member?
By successfully obtaining a county elected office you automatically become a member of WSAC and will immediately have access to all the resources and services provided by the Association. We look forward to getting to know you through your participation in WSAC’s advocacy efforts, committees, and conferences.
What is WSAC?
Created in 1906, the Washington State Association of Counties (WSAC) is a voluntary, non-profit association serving all of Washington’s 39 counties. WSAC members include elected county commissioners, council members and executives from all of Washington’s 39 counties. The Association provides a variety of services to its member counties including advocacy, training and workshops, and a forum to network and share best practices.
