We’re thrilled to share that the Washington Counties Insurance Fund (WCIF) has furthered its dedication to serving Washington's counties by upgrading to the high-tier Platinum level of WSAC's Corporate Member Program.
WCIF was established in 1958 by the Washington State Association of Counties to provide more cost-efficient health insurance for county employees. Today, WCIF provides a comprehensive suite of health and welfare benefit options, as well as full-service benefits support to local public servants across the State of Washington.

NEW: Public Defense Toolkit for WSAC Members!
In Washington State, if you’re charged with a crime and cannot afford a lawyer, both the U.S. and State Constitutions guarantee you legal representation. Counties bear most of this cost, and their budgets can’t keep up, which puts constitutional rights and local resources at risk.
WSAC has created a toolkit to help members advocate for legislative action. Use it when engaging with lawmakers, the media, and the public so we can speak with one voice and urge the Legislature to adequately fund our public defense system.
