This week, WSAC and WACO held a 4-day long, in-depth training for newly elected Commissioners/Councilmembers and other county-electeds from all across Washington State. This conference is designed to help those new to public office learn more about their role, the county government environment, and the resources available through WSAC. Topics included budgeting, public records retention, open public meetings, “big issues” discussions, Q&A’s with long-serving electeds, resources available to them, and a lot more. Be sure to reach out and welcome these new commissioners/councilmembers as they begin their county journey!
